Heather Forest + 2

Heather Forest creator of the site storyarts.org speaks and sings about using musical folktales for children

Exploring the retelling of folktales, fairytales and fables, my students will be supported in their unique creative process and encouraged to utilize effective language, well-crafted story composition, and dynamic delivery in order to bring relevance and beauty to the sharing of classic tales. I will guide students to evolve personal connections to the homespun wisdom in folkloric plots. We will explore ways of sharing ancient tales with knowledge and respect for their multicultural origins. From comedy to drama, students will be encouraged to develop a wide range of stories for their repertoire.
